How texting works in LeadWise

Every lead alert and recall reminder in LeadWise includes a one-tap text link. Tap it and your phone's Messages app opens with the reply already written — you just hit send. The customer gets a text from your real number, replies land on your phone, and the conversation lives where you were going to close the job anyway.

We built it this way on purpose. Texts from a real local number don't get filtered as spam, don't require any registration, and feel personal — because they are. Speed is what wins the job, and a pre-written text takes about four seconds to send.

What about automated texting?

Software that sends texts for you in the US requires A2P 10DLC registration — a carrier compliance program where your business registers its legal entity (EIN), gets a vetted “brand,” submits a “campaign” describing every message you'll send, adds consent language to every form that collects a phone number, and waits through a review that commonly takes one to three weeks (rejections over wording are normal). Then there are monthly carrier fees on top.

LeadWise doesn't set up or manage A2P registration for clients — we'd rather put that energy into getting you booked jobs. For most owner-operated businesses, the one-tap flow above covers it.

If you really want your own texting number

Two honest paths:

• Do it yourself with a provider like Twilio or Telnyx. Budget: your EIN and business details, an afternoon of forms, consent checkboxes on your website forms, roughly $15–30/mo in number + carrier fees, and 1–3 weeks of review. Search “A2P 10DLC registration” on your provider's docs and follow their checklist exactly — most rejections are missing consent language.
• Buy it bundled from a texting-first platform (Podium, NiceJob, Textedly and similar run roughly $99–450/mo). They handle registration as part of the subscription. Plenty of our clients run one of these alongside LeadWise.

Either way, your LeadWise account keeps working exactly the same — leads, recall, reviews, booking — and your texting tool rides alongside it.
