Tideline was founded in 2011 by Marco and Elena Reyes after a national chain failed to clear a termite infestation in their first home. Three visits in, $4,200 spent, the swarmers came back. The whole company is built on what they wished that company had done.
In 2010, Marco and Elena bought their first house in Seminole Heights. Within six months, drywood termite swarmers came out of the upstairs bedroom doorframe. They called the national chain everyone calls. The tech sprayed baseboards, charged $1,400, and left.
Six weeks later: more swarmers. Second visit, $1,400 more. Sprayed again. Six weeks later, swarmers again. Third visit. Same routine. The company refused to refund anything because their terms and conditions said spot treatment couldn't carry a warranty.
Marco was a licensed applicator at a commercial pest company at the time. He knew what the right protocol was — fumigation tent for drywood termites, not baseboard spray. He paid out of pocket for the proper fumigation, then started taking on residential jobs nights and weekends.
By 2013 it was a full company. Tideline's whole pitch is the company that should have shown up at his house in 2010. Free inspection, written diagnosis, the right protocol for the actual species, real warranty, real callbacks. No upsells to a quarterly contract you don't need.
These are the principles every Tideline technician operates under. They are the difference between a company that earns repeat business and a company that earns a complaint.
Every job starts with an inspection. We never spray first and ask questions later. Wrong species, wrong product, wrong placement — all of those waste your money and our reputation.
Different pests, different protocols, different products. We don't run the same chemical on every job because it's easier for our supply chain. We carry seven different formulations on every truck.
If Carlos treated your house in spring, Carlos comes back in summer. He knows your kitchen layout, where the activity was, what worked, what didn't. No starting from zero with a stranger.
Every invoice has a warranty clause. Termite work: 7 years renewable. Treatment work: 30-day callback. Quarterly: free re-treatment between visits. No fine print, no carve-outs.
We are intentionally small. Each technician runs their own route, their own customers, their own warranty. No corporate sales reps, no overnight subcontractors, no rotating crew of 1099s.
Started in commercial pest control in 2006. Founded Tideline in 2011 after a personal termite job went wrong. Runs every termite WDO inspection and lead generation route personally.
Runs scheduling, dispatch, and the customer relationship from before the inspection through the post-warranty check-in. Most customers know her voice better than they know any technician.
Brandon, Riverview, Valrico routes. Specializes in roof rat exclusion and German roach elimination — Tampa's two hardest jobs. Customers request him by name.
South Tampa, Hyde Park, Davis Islands routes. Bed bug heat treatment lead — runs the thermal remediation rig on every K-9-confirmed job.
St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo routes. Mosquito suppression specialist — built the In2Care station network that runs across half of our Pinellas-side customers.
Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Land O Lakes routes. Newest member of the crew, came up through Marco's mentorship program — runs general pest, builds toward the termite cert this year.
Active and in good standing since 2011. Public record at fdacs.gov. Annual recertification. No suspensions, no complaints filed with the Bureau of Entomology.
Every technician on staff is individually EPA-certified for the categories we work in: General Household Pest, Termite/Wood-Destroying Organisms, and Public Health Pest Control.
Real insurance, not the legal minimum. Certificates available on request before any work is performed.
Public reputation. Reviews come from real customers, never solicited with discounts. Complaints (rare) handled directly by Marco or Elena, no offshore call center.
