Complete every section fully
Google uses completion signals to determine which businesses to show. Incomplete profiles rank lower. Make sure every section is filled out: name, category, address, phone, website, hours, service area, services, photos, and description.
Choose the right primary category
Your primary category is the most important ranking factor on your GBP. For an HVAC company, it should be HVAC Contractor. Use secondary categories for additional services.
Post consistently
Google Posts appear directly on your profile. Post once or twice per week — seasonal promotions, tips, recent jobs. Consistent posting signals that you are an active, engaged business.
Reviews are your most important ranking signal
