Plumbing isn't complicated when you actually know it. Sweat the joint right, pitch the drain correctly, size the riser properly. We show up, do the work the code requires, and charge a fair flat rate. No upsell theater. No "gold-level membership" nonsense. That used to be the standard.

  • Licensed masters only Every person who works on your pipes holds a Florida master plumber license. Not apprentices on their own. Not "helpers" pretending.
  • Flat-rate written quotes Estimate is given, approved, and signed before anything happens. The number at the end is the number we quoted. If we hit something unexpected, we stop and call you.
  • Permits pulled, code respected We pull permits on work that needs them. Unpermitted plumbing is a future sale-killer. We do it right so you don't inherit the problem in four years.
  • Third generation at the workbench Mike's grandfather did plumbing in Ybor City in the 1950s. His dad did commercial. Mike runs the shop. Same trade, same discipline, same shop philosophy for seventy years.

From the Owner

Three generations of Delaneys. Same trade.

My grandfather had a plumbing shop in Ybor City in the 1950s. Small place — him, my great-uncle, and a helper. My dad worked commercial plumbing out of Brandon for thirty-plus years before he retired. I apprenticed under him starting in 2006, got my journeyman in 2009, master in 2011.

Honest Work opened in 2011 out of a garage off 7th Ave. It's still the same address — we bought the building in 2017. My wife Erin handles the books. Sam Rodriguez has been our lead tech since 2015. The shop's small and we plan to keep it that way.

I've been in this trade since I was sixteen. Helping my dad on weekends, sweeping shops, running copper. I know what honest plumbing looks like and I know what it doesn't. When you call us, you're getting the real trade — not a sales pitch.

You approve in writing before we turn a wrench. On repipes and bigger jobs we send scope + timeline + payment schedule. Permits pulled where required.

2-year labor warranty on service work, 25-year pipe warranty on repipes, 6-year tank warranty on water heaters. Jobsite cleaned. No "call this other number" handoffs.
